Im in southern CA and have been expecting somthing to break loose since the Haiti quake and especially since this south american quake. all this pressure being released to the south of us will have to have an effect on the plates that crisscross our area in southern CA sooner or later. Thats just the nature of the beast so to speak.

wow a 7.2 aftershock. I live in the LA area and remember the Northridge Quake that was 6.4 I think . where I was at it wasnt all that bad even though i was about 12 miles from the epicenter but there was one big jolt that really shocked me into wondering about what was about to happen, but luckily that one big jolt was the only one. It was like being in your bed and someone very strong grabbing the end of your bed and pulling it about a foot in one big surge.
